We’re building the support ecosystem for Africa-focused Emerging Fund Managers

Obuntu Launchpad Fellowship

WHAT WE DO

An invite-only 12 months virtual Fellowship for Emerging Fund Managers razor-focused on Africa. We select up to 15 Fellows and support them on their journey to launch & accelerate their first investment vehicle.

Nominations are currently closed - but we'd love to hear from you if you're interested in nominating someone/would like to express your interest in joining a future Class.

THE FELLOWSHIP

We strive to have our Fellowship continue to be tight-knight communities, and as such will not admit more than 15 Fellows/Class. We also expect all our Fellows to commit to 5 hours/week of dedicated time to the Fellowship.

  • Participate in our exclusive masterclasses led by industry leaders. The sessions cover the core aspects of building a fund: diving into contextual case studies on topics ranging from thesis formation, fund structuring, building a tech stack for a fund, and more.

  • Our Fellows are lifetime members of our inclusive Obuntu Community of Africa-focused VC leaders. Share opportunities and grow together with a community that is committed to help you succeed.

  • From templates to a context-specific knowledge base, our resources are designed to make it as simple as possible for Fellows to launch Fund I. You can also expect perks - as we are partnering with service providers to help lower the cost of starting a fund.
